THEME FOR OUR 31st SEASON:

Archetypes:
A Treasure-House of Images

“The life energy which is turned inwards… digs up
from the treasure-house of memory
those images glimpsed long ago
which bring back the time when
the world was a full and rounded whole.”

~ Carl Jung

CW5, para. 134; CW9i, para. 203, fn. 35

Event Season Description

Everywhere there is mystery, uncertainty, confusion, even chaos. Our ego-consciousness tries desperately to organize it into concepts, ideas, categories to help us navigate so we are not overwhelmed.

But if we could only remember that we already have within us a way to commune with the mystery that doesn’t require such frenzied and exhausting intentionality, and that energizes rather than drains us, we could live a much more meaningful and progressive life rather than be trapped in never ending misery and regression.

Jung suggests that if we can connect with our deepest Self, the treasured repository of organizing patterns and images to which he referred as archetypes, we can savor far more meaningfulness than ego-consciousness can ever provide.

Come join us as we explore Jung’s message … all within a supportive, welcoming community of mental health professionals and others actively seeking personal awareness, exploration, and growth.
