It is with extremely heavy hearts that we convey news of the passing of the Center for Jungian Studies of South Florida’s beloved President Emeritus and co-founding Board member, Ann Q. Lynch, on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Coconut Creek, Florida. Without
Ann was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on February 8, 1931, and passed at the age of 88 when she was living in Coconut Creek. Ann was Professor Emeritus at Florida Atlantic University where she founded the Mental Health Counseling (M.A.) program. She had been a counseling psychologist at the University of Florida, and on the faculty at Memphis University. The Jungian Center was her major passion for the last 30 yrs. She was instrumental in guiding its administration throughout, and hosting its workshops on myriad Jungian-related topics over the decades.
Ann is survived by her children, Michael and Carol, her daughter-in-law, Susan, her grandchildren, Christina and Kelsey, her sister Gail Runyan, her niece and nephews, and numerous cousins and friends. Her parents, Arthur Axson and Grace Perry Quarterman, her husband Edward James Lynch, and her sister Susan Scott predeceased her.
